Save Your Vision Month

Saving your vision is important to us here at Advantage Eye Vision. It starts when you come in for a comprehensive eye exam. During this exam, we take the time to look at every aspect of your eyes and vision. There can be many causes for loss of vision with Diabetes, Glaucoma, Cataracts, and Age-Related Macular Degeneration being at the top of the list. Age is the highest risk factor for vision impairment and blindness. So, the older we become the more important having regular comprehensive eye exams become in our lives.

Vision means more than being able to see clearly. Maintaining good vision relies on having healthy eyes as well. There are many systemic diseases that can be found with an eye exam. Similar to an oil change being needed in your car eve y 3 months. Every year or two you should have your eyes checked with a dilated and comprehensive eye exam. Some people may need to be seen more regularly based on the recommendation of their optometrist.

Comprehensive eye exams are also important to children. It has been found that having good vision will help a child perform well at school, in athletics, and have good social interactions.
